Well, ever heard of Blog? Blog has no definitive word to describe. It is simply a piece of journal or diary being written and published online by the user (author) to let anyone leave comments or perhaps read it through.
Although it may seem irony that not all will actually expressed their thoughts freely and exposing what they wanted to say to someone. Nowadays, blogging isn't the term to limit oneself to express like a daily diary anymore.
Today blogosphere is a global phenomenon as people tend to blog from any topics, it could be on massive multi-playing online role-playing games (MMORPGs), fashion design, furnitures, laptops sales and many other things one could find. Simply by googling it on the web browser. Basically it is the discussion and public opinions being commented on that particular topic which connects everyone together. Blogosphere turns to be a community term for bloggers and it has transform into a new mainstream media via online.
According to Wikipedia, a Blog terminology derives from the exact word: Web log which is a Web site being maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order.
Technorati defines the Active Blogosphere as: The ecosystem of interconnected communities of bloggers and readers at the convergence of journalism and conversation.
According to Technorati's State of the Blogosphere Report, they eventually have conducted a survey from a random sample from more than 1.2 million bloggers who have registered with Technorati.
Jun-E (2008) said that there are Malaysian bloggers to be fairly young (84.5% of bloggers are aged 28 and below), and are avid readers of blogs, printed newspapers and fiction. He even said it is more cater towards sociopolitical group of bloggers within the Malaysian blogosphere, they only form 6% out of the total 852 bloggers within the sample size.
